Ingredients

1 cup milk (any type – whole, 2%, almond, )

2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree

1 tablespoon granulated sugar to taste

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice blend

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or 12 shots of espresso

Whipped cream (optional)

Ground cinnamon or nutmeg, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

Prepare the Pumpkin Spice Mixture:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla extract.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it’s well combined and heated through (about 2-3 minutes).

Brew the Coffee or Espresso:

While the pumpkin spice mixture is heating, brew a strong cup of coffee or prepare 1-2 shots of espresso.

Froth the Milk:

In a separate saucepan or using a milk frother, heat and froth the milk until it’s hot and frothy. Be careful not to scorch the milk.

Combine the Ingredients:

Pour the hot brewed coffee or espresso into a large mug.

Add the pumpkin spice mixture to the coffee and stir well to combine.

Add the Frothed Milk:

Slowly pour the hot frothed milk over the coffee and pumpkin mixture, holding back the foam with a spoon if desired.

Top with Whipped Cream and Spices:

If desired, top the latte with a dollop of whipped cream.

Garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for an extra festive touch.
