Description

The Summer Cup is a quintessential British drink, perfect for hot days and summer gatherings. Here’s what you’ll need to create this refreshing and vibrant beverage


Ingredients

200 ml (about 1 cup) Pimm’s No. 1 Cup

600 ml (about 2 1/2 cups) lemonade or ginger ale for a spicier twist

A handful of fresh mint leaves

Plenty of ice to keep the drink cool and refreshing

Fresh Fruits

1 orange, sliced

1 lemon, sliced

1 cucumber, sliced

1 apple, sliced

A handful of strawberries halved

Optional Ingredients

Borage Flowers for a traditional garnish

Additional Berries such as raspberries or blueberries for extra color and flavor


Instructions

1- Prepare the fruits and Herbs

Slice the Fruits: Slice 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 cucumber, and 1 apple into thin rounds. Halve a handful of strawberries.

Mint Leaves: Pick a handful of fresh mint leaves. Optionally, you can include a few borage flowers for a traditional garnish.

 

2- Fill the Jug

Add Pimm’s No. 1 Cup: Pour 200 ml (about 1 cup) of Pimm’s No. 1 Cup into a large jug or pitcher.

Add Lemonade: Add 600 ml (about 2 1/2 cups) of lemonade to the jug. For a spicier twist, you can use ginger ale instead of lemonade.

 

3- Add Fruits & herbs

Combine Ingredients: Add the sliced orange, lemon, cucumber, apple, and halved strawberries into the jug with the Pimm’s and lemonade.

Add Mint Leaves: Toss in the fresh mint leaves and, if using, the borage flowers.

 

4- Add Ice

Ice Cubes: Fill the jug with plenty of ice cubes to keep the drink cool and refreshing.

 

5- Stir & Serve

Stir the Mixture: Give the mixture a good stir to combine all the flavors.

Serve: Pour the Summer Cup into tall glasses, ensuring each glass gets a mix of fruit and mint leaves.

 

6- Garnish ( Optional )

Additional Berries: For extra color and flavor, you can garnish each glass with additional berries such as raspberries or blueberries.
